Sosnovoborsk

(until 1940, the village of Litvino), an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sosnovoborsk Raion, Penza Oblast, RSFSR. Sosnovoborsk is located on the Teshniar’ River (a tributary of the Sura), 18 km north of the Siuzium railroad station (on the Penza-Syzran’ line) and 147 km east of Penza. The settlement has a textile mill, a timber-processing combine, and a butter factory.
