At the Opening Order

1. An order to buy or sell a security at the best price available when an exchange opens.

2. An order to buy or sell a security at its opening price when an exchange opens. If this price is not available, the order is canceled.

at-the-opening order

A specialized order to a broker in which the customer specifies that execution take place at the opening price of the day.
