Tsei Glacier

 

(also Tseia), a valley glacier on the northern slope of the Greater Caucasus, in the Severnaia Osetiia ASSR. The Tsei Glacier originates in the firn fields between the summits of Uilpata and Adai-Khokh. It is 8.6 km long and has an area of approximately 9.7 sq km. It has several icefalls and descends to an elevation of 2,200 m. The Tseidon, a left tributary of the Ardon, is fed by the glacier’s meltwater. Camps for mountain climbers, a tourist center, and a climatic health resort are located near the Tsei Glacier.
