释义 | ShluhShluh(ʃəˈluː; ʃluː)ShluhShluh(also Chleuch), a Berber people inhabiting the western part of the High Atlas and the Anti Atlas in Morocco. The Shluh live in the valleys of the Sous and Tensift rivers along with the Arab population. They number about 2 million (1975, estimate). The Shluh are subdivided into separate groups, including the Aghbar, Fruga, Glawa, Ksima, Menaba, and Mtuga. They speak a language of the Berber group, and some also speak Arabic. The religion is Islam. The main occupations are mountain farming and transhumant livestock breeding of sheep and goats. |
