Sannikov Strait
Sannikov Strait
a strait in the Novosibirskie Islands, between Kotel’nyi Island in the north and Malyi Liakhov Island in the south. Sannikov Strait connects the Laptev and East Siberia Seas. Its narrowest width is 55 km, and its depth ranges from 10 to 20 m. The strait is named in honor of Ia. Sannikov.
