Tiurkian

an urban-type settlement in the Azerbaijan SSR, under the jurisdiction of the Azizbekov raion soviet of the city of Baku. Tiurkian is on the Apsheron Peninsula, 30 km east of the Baku railroad station. Population, 5,400 (1975). A viticultural sovkhoz is located in the settlement. There is also a tuberculosis sanatorium.
