Called also dry eye.phlyctenular keratoconjunctivitisA delayed hypersensitivity response (type IV) to antigens in the conjunctiva. The disease may be caused by Chlamydia, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and Staphylococcus aureus. Symptoms include pain and photophobia; in severe cases, perforation of the cornea can occur.
