Remaining maturity Remaining maturityThe length of time remaining until a bond comes dueRemaining MaturityThe time between the present date and the time at which a bond matures. This is important in the pricing of a bond; the price approaches the bond's face value as the remaining maturity shortens. This is in part because the bondholder will receive fewer coupons (and eventually no coupons) as the remaining maturity approaches zero. See also: Duration. |
