San Bernardo

a city in central Chile, in Santiago Province. Population, 60,000 (1970). San Bernardo is an important railroad junction. It is the center of an agricultural region, known for wheat, fruits, grapes, and tobacco. San Bernardo has a chemical industry, a metalworking industry, and railroad repair shops.
