Established: Authorized on November 10, 1978; established on April 1, 1983.
Location:Visitor center is near the intersection of Roosevelt Ave. and New Napier Ave. in San Antonio, Texas.
Facilities:Rest rooms, bicycle trail, museum/exhibit, self-guided tour/trail.
Activities:Hiking, bicycling, guided tour.
Special Features:Four Spanish frontier missions (Concepción, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada), part of a colonization system that stretched across the Spanish Southwest in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, are preserved here. The four mission churches within the park are active catholic parishes and hold regular services.
