Sushi bond

A Eurobond issued by a Japanese corporation.

Sushi Bond

A bond issued by a Japanese company outside of Japan and denominated in a currency other than the yen. A sushi bond is outside the jurisdiction of the Bank of Japan. If another Japanese company buys a sushi bond, it does not count against its legal limits on ownership of foreign securities.
