Sursk

(until 1953, the settlement of Nikol’skii Khutor), a city in Gorodishche Raion, Penza Oblast, RSFSR. Situated on the left bank of the Sura River, a tributary of the Volga, 3 km from the Aseevskaia railroad station on the Penza-Syzran’ line and 60 km east of Penza. Sursk has a woolen cloth combine, a distillery, and a foundry.
