[TA] 1. the plexus of nerves formed by the pharyngeal branch of the vagus nerve, joined by, branches of the glossopharyngeal and accessory nerves, which lies along the posterior wall of the pharynx; 2. a venous plexus on the posteriolateral walls of the pharynx, emptying through the pharyngeal veins into the internal jugular.
