Traffic-Control Communications

a wire communication (by telephone, less frequently by telegraph), and in some instances a radio communication, for conversations between a dispatcher and the local job superintendent. Such communications are used in industry, power engineering, and all types of transportation for continuous, efficient direction. In many cases selective telephone communication is used.
