Soloth soil

[′sō·lət ‚sȯil] (geology) One of an intrazonal halomorphic group of soils formed from saline material; the surface layer is soft and friable, and overlies a light-colored leached horizon which, in turn, overlies a dark horizon. Also known as Solod soil.
