Location:2 miles south of Tishomingo off MS 25 at Milepost 304 on the Natchez Trace Parkway.
Facilities:62 developed campsites (with electrical hookups, restrooms, andshowers), primitive tent camping area, 6 vacation cabins, group camp, picnicareas, 3 pavilions with electricity, nature trails (13 miles), swimmingpool, boat launch, canoe rental, volleyball area, playgrounds, 18-holedisc golf course, compass course, worship services, museum/interpretivecenter.
Activities:Camping, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, float trips (daily from mid-April through mid-October).
Special Features:Park takes its name from Chief Tishomingo, leader of the Chickasawnation. Located in the foothills of the Appalachians, the park featuresa landscape of massive rock formations and fern-filled crevices foundnowhere else in Mississippi. Massive moss-covered boulders dot thehillsides, and colorful wildflowers border trails once walked by NativeAmericans. The scenic Natchez Trace Parkway runs directly through thepark.
