Solnechnoe

(until 1948, Oillila), an urban-type settlement in Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR; under the jurisdiction of the Sestroretsk raion soviet of the city of Leningrad. Situated on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland; railroad station 35 km from Leningrad. Solnechnoe has a children’s sanatorium and the Vzmor’e house of rest. The settlement was named in memory of the 1905 staging of Children of the Sun, a play by M. Gorky, at the local summer theater.
