Suria

a city in Spain, in Catalonia, in the province of Barcelona; situated 15 km north of Manresa, on the Cardoner River. Population, 6,900 (1970). Suria is the center of an important potassium-salt mining area, mainly carnallite and sylvinite. Rocksalt, gypsum, and lime are also mined. Suria has food-processing and textile-manufacturing industries.
