Shchuch’e
a city and the administrative center of Shchuch’e Raion, Kurgan Oblast, RSFSR. Railroad station on the Cheliabinsk-Kurgan line, 170 km west of Kurgan. Shchuch’e has a butter factory, a grain elevator, a food-processing combine, and a machine-building plant that manufactures fire-fighting equipment.
