Special Features:Refuge serves as a resting and feeding area for waterfowl, shorebirds, and other water birds.
Habitats: 367 acres of ocean, beach, dunes, grassland, river, lagoon, and salt marsh.
Access: Open during daylight hours.
Wild life: Endangered California brown pelican, Smith's blue butterfly, and the peregrine falcon. Also provides habitat for the rare snowy plover.
