Special Features:Park features North Carolina's second largest natural lake, 16,600-acre Lake Phelps, known throughout the East for its bass fishing. Park is also home to the longest Indian dugout canoe in North Carolina and the second oldest in the nation, radiocarbon dated at 4,400 years.
