an urban-type settlement in Kamyshin Raion, Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR. Situated on the left bank of the Ilovlia River, a tributary of the Don. Junction of railroad lines to Saratov, Balashov, Volgograd, and Kamyshin. Population, 12,800 (1973). The settlement has railroad shops.
