Salda
a river in Sverdlovsk Oblast, RSFSR, a right tributary of the Tura (Ob’ River basin). The Salda is 182 km long and drains an area of 3,670 sq km. Fed primarily by snow, the Salda originates on the slopes of Mount Blagodat’ and flows across a swampy area. The mean flow rate of the river measured 36 km from the mouth is 11.5 cu m per sec. The Salda freezes in October or early November, and the ice breaks up in April or early May.

The river freezes in late October or early November, and the ice breaks up in April. The cities of Verkhniaia Salda and Nizhniaia Salda are located on the Salda.
