(mäkō`tō sī`tō), 1858–1936, Japanese admiral and statesman. A moderate militarist, his selection as prime minister (1932–34) to replace Ki InukaiInukai, Ki
(Tsuyoshi) , 1855–1932, Japanese statesman. He became president of the Seiyukai party in 1929 and was prime minister from Jan. to May, 1932. His cabinet sanctioned the Manchurian Incident of 1931.
