Pētersons, Alberts
(in Russian, Al’bert Davidovich Peterson). Born May 24, 1895, in Riga; died 1941. Participant in the struggle for Soviet power in Latvia. Member of the Communist Party from April 1917. Son of a worker.
Pētersons served in units of the Latvian Rifles during World War I (1914-18) and was a member of the Iskolastrel (Executive Committee of the Joint Soviet of Latvian Rifle Regiments) in 1917. In 1918 he was secretary of the Soviet mission in Switzerland. From 1919 to 1921 he engaged in party and political work in the Red Army. From 1922 he was involved in economic work.
