Thehighest automobile pass in California includes elevation changes ofmore than one mile from west to east. Highlights of the drive includethe 9,945-foot Tioga Pass, Tuolumne Meadows, Crane and Big Oak Flat, theMerced and Tuolumne Sequoia Groves, Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, YosemiteValley, Mariposa Grove, and Historic Wawona.
Legth: 64 miles. Start/Endpoint: Traverses Yosemite National Park in an east/west directionfrom SR 120 at Tioga Pass to the western entrance of the park at BigOak Flat. Time to Allow: 1.5 - 2 hours Designation/Year: National Scenic Byway (1996).
