Soiva

a river in the Komi ASSR, a left tributary of the Severnaia Mylva River of the Pechora River basin. The Soiva is 154 km long and drains an area of 1,790 sq km. It is fed predominantly by snow. High water lasts from late April to June. The mean flow rate 24 km from the mouth is 20.2 cu m per sec. The river freezes in late October or early November, and the ice breaks up in late April or early May. The settlement of Nizhniaia Omra is located on the river.
