Belarus’fil’m

 

a film studio in Minsk. It was founded in 1928 in Leningrad by the film organization Byelorussian State Film under the name of Soviet Byelorussia. The studio moved to Minsk in 1939 and received its present name in 1946. A new studio building was built in 1960. Belarus’fil’m consists of three divisions: the feature film division, the newsreel and documentary division known as Letopis’, and the television film division.
