Location:18 miles east of South Boston, off VA 92.
Facilities:Picnic area, picnic shelter (é), hiking trails, bike trails, self guided trails, visitor center, environmental education center.
Activities:Hiking, bicycling, interpretive programs, historical reenactments.
Special Features:On June 25th, 1864, a battle between Confederate troops, led by Captain Benjamin L. Farinholt, and Union troops, led by Colonel R. M. West, took place here. Visitor Center contains displays detailing this history, as well as exhibits on electric energy.
