Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper

A satellite-based Internet service from Amazon. Announced in 2019, Kuiper is expected to launch more than 3,000 low-earth satellites that will cover the earth for Internet access. However, a time line for completion was not given. The project name comes from the Kuiper belt, an icy region outside the orbit of Neptune, named after planetary scientist Gerard Kuiper.
