Perlman, Selig,
1888–1959, American economist, b. Bialystok, Poland. His parents were active in the Zionist and labor movements of Eastern Europe. Perlman emigrated to the United States in 1918, where he taught at the Univ. of Wisconsin at Madison (1918–58), and became a close associate of labor historian John R. CommonsCommons, John Rogers,1862–1945, American economist, b. Hollansburg, Ohio, grad. Oberlin, 1888.
