Tapengwan
Tap’engwan
a gulf in the South China Sea. on the southeast coast of China (Kwangtung Province), washing the eastern shore of the Chiulung Peninsula. Length, approximately 22 km; width, 10–18 km; depth 12–22 m. Tap’engwan’s western shore has several bays, well-protected from the winds and suitable for anchoring seagoing ships. The shores are steep cliffs. There are many small islands. The tides are irregular and diurnal and reach a depth of 3 m. The major port city of Chiulung is located on Tap’engwan Gulf.
