Location:In Middletown, 4 miles east of Newport, Rhode Island.

Activities:Surf fishing, hiking, educational programs.
Special Features:More than 200 different bird species inhabit Sachuest Point including a large concentration of wintering harlequin ducks.
Habitats: 242 acres of saltmarsh, beach strand, and upland shrub.
Access: Open from dawn to dusk.
Wild life: More than 200 species of birds, including peregrine falcon, northern harrier, and the snowy owl.
