Tanyp

(also Bystryi Tanyp), a river in Perm’ Oblast and the Bashkir ASSR; a right tributary of the Belaia River. The Tanyp is 345 km long and drains an area of 7,560 sq km. It is fed mainly by snow. The mean flow rate 20 km from the mouth is 44.5 cu m per sec. The river freezes in the first half of November and opens up in April.
