Tan-Viet Cach-Mengh Dang
Tan-Viet Cach-Mengh Dang
(Revolutionary Party of New Vietnam), a revolutionary petit bourgeois political organization in Vietnam, consisting mainly of young people and intellectuals. The party was founded in 1925 as Viet-Nam Quang-Phuc Hoi (Association for the Restoration of Vietnam). In 1929 it was renamed Tan-Viet Cong-San Lien (Communist Alliance of New Vietnam), and, soon after, Dong-Duong Cong-San Lien Dong (Indochinese Communist Alliance). Influenced by the increased struggle of the proletariat and by the Marxist-oriented Fellowship of Revolutionary Youth of Vietnam, the party adopted Marxist-Leninist stands. In 1927 it followed the Fellowship in advancing the task of building socialism and communism. In 1930 most members of the party joined the Communist Party of Vietnam, which was founded Feb. 3, 1930.
