(protocol, standard)V.22 twice. An ITU-T modemprotocol which allowed a data rate of 2400 bits per second,twice that of V.22.

V.22bis

An ITU standard (1984) for asynchronous and synchronous 2,400 bps full-duplex analog modems for use on dial-up lines and two-wire leased lines, with fallback to V.22 1,200 bps operation. V.22bis uses QAM modulation.
