Uri Gol

Uri Gol

 

a river in the Mongolian People’s Republic; a left tributary, and the largest, of the Egin Gol, which flows through the basin of the Selenga. The Uri Gol measures 331 km in length and drains an area of 12,300 sq km. It originates on the southern slopes of the Vostochnyi Saian and flows primarily through an intermontane valley. High water occurs in the spring, and rain causes flash flooding in the summer. The river freezes over in the winter.
