Also called an SAS. A French company based upon a limited liability company in the United States. Unlike some other French corporations, SAS companies do not have a board of directors. Rather, the organization is responsible to a President, who may hire a General Manager at his/her discretion. The company's balance sheet is published and its annual statements are controlled by an outside party.
