Facilities:More than 100 Class A campsites with electricity, water, and access toa shower building with flush toilets (é), primitive tent campingarea, rent-a-cabin, equestrian campground, youth group tent campingarea, picnic areas, shelters, playgrounds, restrooms (é), trails (8miles), boat ramp, boat rentals, concession, restaurant, gift shop.
Activities:Camping, boating (electric motors only), canoeing, fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting, ice fishing, sledding, ice skating.
Special Features:Park is situated at the westernmost edge of the first land in Illinois ceded byNative Americans to the United States. Red Hills is the highest pointof land between Saint Louis and Cincinnati, with a 120-foot tower and crossat the summit. At the base is an open-air tabernacle whereinterdenominational worship services are held Sunday evenings duringthe summer.
