Borovik-Romanov, Viktor-Andrei Stanislavovich

 

Bora Mar. 18, 1920, in Petrograd. Soviet physicist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1966).

Borovik-Romanov graduated from the Moscow State University in 1947. He worked at the Moscow State Institute of Measures and Measuring Instruments during 1948–55 and from 1956 at the Institute of Physical Problems. His primary work has been in the experimental investigation of antifer-romagnetism. He discovered the phenomenon of piezomag-netism.
