Baranchinskii

an urban-type settlement in Sverdlovsk Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Barancha River (Tura basin), 2 km from the Baranchinskii railroad station on the Sverdlovsk-Perm’ line. Population in 1968, 14,100. There is an electromechanical plant. Baranchinskii was formed in 1928 by settlers near the Nizhnebaranchinskii iron foundry, which was established in 1743. There is an evening electromechanical technicum.
