Russkii Zavorot

a spit 2–3 m high and approximately 45 km long, located on the northwestern edge of Pechora Bay, on the Barents Sea, in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. When winds cause the sea level to rise sharply, parts of the spit become submerged. The elevated spots are covered with tundra vegetation.
