Medspeak-UK
A component of the General Medical Council (GMC)’s process of revalidation of a doctor practising medicine in the UK, which requires that doctors on the specialist and GP registers conform with standards appropriate for their specialty of practice.
 
Medspeak-US
A process in which a professional is periodically re-evaluated (e.g., every 10 years) by an accrediting body to assure continued provision of safe, high-quality healthcare.
