Problemy Arktiki i Antarktiki

(Problems of the Arctic and Antarctic), collections of articles on the current problems connected with the comprehensive study of the arctic and antarctic, published by the Arctic and Antarctic Scientific Research Institute. The collections include articles on meteorology and climatology, oceanography, hydrology of the estuaries of arctic rivers, geography and geophysics, ice navigation, the economic efficiency of scientific investigations, and the history of the investigations of polar regions. Information on the plans for and the scientific results of polar expeditions is also included. Problemy Arktiki i Antarktiki has been published three or four times a year since 1959, when it replaced the collection Problemy Arktiki, which was published from 1937 to 1959.
