Tamdytau

Tamdytau

 

a mountain massif in the southwestern part of the Kyzylkum, in the Uzbek SSR. It has elevations to 922 m, at Aktau, and is about 60 km long. It is composed of sandstones, schists, and limestones, with intrusions of granites and granodiorites. The flat-topped, dissected massif consists of latitudinal rocky ridges, with a few rocky eminences.
