Achisu

an urban-type settlement in the Dagestan ASSR. Located on the coastal lowland of the Caspian Sea, south of Makhachkala and 5 km from the Achi railroad station, it has a population of 1,500 (1968). There is extraction of quartz sand, natural gas, and petroleum.
