Tiger shell

Related to Tiger shell: Cypraea tigris, tiger cowrie
(Zool.) a large and conspicuously spotted cowrie (Cypræa tigris); - so called from its fancied resemblance to a tiger in color and markings. Called also tiger cowrie.
