Vose Imeni

an urban-type settlement, the center of Vose Raion, Tadzhik SSR, on the lakhsu River (Pliandzha basin). There is a railroad station—Aral—18 km southwest of the city of Kuliaba. Population, 7,600 (1969). Industries include a brewery and salt mines. The settlement is named for Vose, the leader of a popular uprising in 1885.
