Vikhorevka

a city in Bratsk Raion, Irkutsk Oblast, RSFSR, located on the left bank of the Vikhoreva River (a tributary of the Angara). Railroad station on the Tai-shet-Lena line, 35 km southwest of Bratsk. Population, 17,000 (1969). Vikhorevka has a lumbering combine and railroad transportation enterprises. It was established in 1957 in connection with the construction of the railroad and has been a city since 1966.
