Rechitsa
a city under oblast jurisdiction in Gomel’ Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Landing on the Dnieper; railroad station on the Gomel’-Kalinkovichi line. Population, 57,100 (1975). The city has plants producing hardware, ceramic pipe, hydrolyzed yeast, butter, and dry milk. In addition to a winery, there are woodworking and food-processing enterprises, various types of light industry, and a shipyard. Rechitsa has a museum of local lore. Oil is extracted in the vicinity of the city.
Rechitsa
an urban-type settlement in Stolin Raion, Brest Oblast, Byelorussian SSR; situated on the left bank of the Goryn’ River. It has a railroad station (Goryn’) on the Luninets-Sarny line. Rechitsa has a building-materials combine, a plant producing facing tiles, a lumber mill, a brickyard, and a cannery.
