The city has plants producing hardware, ceramic pipe, hydrolyzed yeast, butter, and dry milk. In addition to a winery, there are woodworking and food-processing enterprises, various types of light industry, and a shipyard. Rechitsa has a museum of local lore. Oil is extracted in the vicinity of the city.
